The Labour vision is for- A world based on fairness and justice

Where equalities are our benchmark.

Where choice can be exercised by all of us not just by the rich.

Where we look after the planet as a way of looking after our families.

Where young people are encouraged to develop all their talents and are supported through education and supported into work.

Where old people are properly valued for the contribution they have made and are enabled to continue to make.

Where the sick, the frail and the vulnerable access good health care and continuing social care and support.

A better future where people, not fat cat profits, come first.

Priorities for Castle ward

Danielle says- I am told by constituents that the top of their priorities in addition to crime and the fear of crime, are housing, education and jobs. I share that view.

To address these priorities we need to re-energise the local economy and grow our way into economic health and opportunities for all.

We need to campaign for unitary status for the town.

I am thrilled that in the ward we have local people prepared to stand up for what they believe, who challenge what is wrong and who are prepared to offer new ideas for future developments.

I firmly believe in collective action and the power of ordinary people to create the change we all need.
